Things to know!

Spraying with oil

If you are *rolling* the churros in cinnamon and sugar, then the mixture will stick to the churros just fine.

One nifty trick is to put the cinnamon and sugar mixture in a container and add your own sugar and cinnamon. Or you can fill a container with just sugar and then add the cinnamon and sugar packet on top. This way, the churro can roll on a pillowy cloud of cinnamon and sugar. The mixture will stick perfectly!

Alternatively, you can spray the churros with olive oil or avocado oil before heating them. This will help the cinnamon and sugar stick to the churro.

Variation in Appliances

Air fryers can have significant differences between them. A basket style air fryer, for example, can potentially heat a churro much quicker and with lower heat than a toaster oven air fryer.

A toaster oven air fryer could require up to 400°F and up to 7 minutes.

A basket style air fryer could require only 325°F for 5 minutes or even 300°F for 3 minutes!
